3. How do you define beauty?

For me, beauty is kindness, generosity, and authenticity. It’s building up others and standing up for what is right. Don’t be a jerk! 

4. Biggest struggle for women and/or non-binary?

Somehow the #MeToo movement still gets flack from apologists and gaslighters and that’s just crazy to me. The system is broken. 

We must fight for change in a system that doesn’t believe that sexual harassment and assault are far more widespread than we have ever been willing to acknowledge. 

We have to demand for change in the structures and systems that demonize us. 

“HR departments too commonly exist to protect companies, not their employees. Serial predators go uncaught because untested rape kits lie piled up in warehouses. Complainants are subjected to a “digital strip search,” and cases are dropped if they won’t allow police to rifle through their data. 

“It is impossible for women to expect justice from a system such as this.”

5. Why do you skate?

For them feel-good endorphins  It feels like flying and I love it so much

6. What do you want people to be aware of?

Healthcare is an evidence-based practice (EBP) grounded in research and fact. 

The vaccine is your best bet to prevent death from COVID-19. 

Very likely hospitals will be more than full or WORSE than last year for this holiday szn.  

Please…. get vaccinated and protect yourself and your family. I’ve had so many patients ask for the vaccine when it’s too late. Prevention is better than cure. Xoxo, a nurse
