I’ll skate to anything from screamo rap to Kr&b, but I don’t really have a go to song

3. What empowers you?
Being black empowers me. Being myself unapologetically and not being afraid to show it brings me power and joy.

4. Biggest struggle for women gender fluid?
Men

5. How has skating impacted you?
Skating has brought me joy in a place and a way I didn’t know anything could. Because of my adhd I pick up many hobbies and end up quitting after feeling discouraged and sometimes having little faith in my ability but skating was never like that for me. Sure I sucked at first but the fun outweighed and feeling of judgment from anyone especially myself.

6. What do you want people to be aware of?
The crime against people of color and gender fluid poc. This is not a joke or something to be taken lightly. Making a post and then moving on and forgetting about it isn’t enough and shouldn’t be applauded. If you aren’t a person of color I feel these small acts just aren’t enough to be considered an ally.

7. What have you learned through the pandemic?
I’ve learned that it’s okay to depend on others and ask for help when you feel that you need it. Life definitely isn’t and that’s okay. Life is suffering and we have to navigate through it as best we can to live the most enjoyable and loving life we can.
